He is expressive with extreme gaits of incredible movement and suppleness. He has a constant stamina and a great positive energy. He is easy to handle and shows exemplary behaviour in the stables. Gl\u00f3\u00f0afeykir charms all of those who get to know him, whether they are the every day every day caretakers, professional riders or occasional visitors.<\/p>\n

Dan\u00edel J\u00f3nsson who rode Gl\u00f3\u00f0afeykir at the 2015 World Championships loves him and emphasises that\u00a0\u201cHis most important aspects are his character, his good temper and his clear gaits.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

At Pur Cheval we have watched Gl\u00f3\u00f0afeykir\u2019s continuous growth from being a young aspiring stallion, starting as a great fourgaiter and developing into a fully performing five gaiter. He has not only amazed us by doing great on the breeding assessment track; his first grand performance was at Landsm\u00f3t 2011, where he became 4th in B-Class, with a score of 8.87. One year later at Landsm\u00f3t 2012, he won the B-Class with a total score of 9.0. He has also gotten excellent results in T1 with scores going up to 7.78.<\/p>\n

Today Gl\u00f3\u00f0afeykir is being trained by Haukur Tryggvason at Hestalindin in Germany. They are preparing for the upcoming competition season (2018).<\/p>\n

Gl\u00f3\u00f0afeykir will be available for covering at Haukur Tryggvason’s Hestalindin<\/a> during the 2018 breeding season.<\/p>\n

              Breeding assessment history<\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text align=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1511791833180{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Gl\u00f3\u00f0afeykir was first shown\u00a0at 4 years old as a fourgaiter. He then went straight to first price with a score of 8.01.<\/p>\n

              At five years old, he is shown twice, still as a fourgaiter, and his total score climbed up to 8.34 including six 9.0.<\/p>\n

              Throughout the next years, Einar and Svanhv\u00edt, his breeders and trainers have the feeling that he can do even better. In the spring of 2015 Gl\u00f3\u00f0afeykir is shown for the first time as a fivegaiter and catches the world\u2019s attention with a total score of 8.75 including four 9.5, one 9 and an 8.5 for pace! He then gets the chance to go to the World Championships like his four owners, Einar, Svanhv\u00edt, \u00d3lafur and Ingibj\u00f6rg have been dreaming of. Later that summer, as most of you know, he wins the title of World Champion in the 7 years and older category.

              In spite of their young age, it is possible to observe\u00a0distinctive traits in most of them. They are in general\u00a0calm<\/strong>,\u00a0attentive<\/strong>,\u00a0cooperative<\/strong>\u00a0and show\u00a0beautiful movement<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

              As of yet, due to the young age of most his offsprings,\u00a0only nine horses by Gl\u00f3\u00f0afeykir have been shown for breeding. Two of them have\u00a0received\u00a0first prize grades<\/strong>: L\u00f3a fr\u00e1 Halakoti, who is fourgaited, got the total score of\u00a08,06<\/strong>\u00a0with four 9! Huldum\u00e6r fr\u00e1 Halakoti, a fivegaited mare got the total score of\u00a08,12<\/strong>\u00a0with very even marks for all gaits.<\/p>\n
