It is therefore an incredible pleasure for Pur Cheval to promote the Icelandic breed on the french territory where the equestrian culture is already well established. We deeply believe that the Icelandic horse brings a new dimension to the french horse community and would like to offer french riders of all ages to meet with the Icelandic horse and discover its amazing characteristics.[\/vc_column_text][mk_blockquote font_family=&#8221;none&#8221; align=&#8221;left&#8221;]We would like to offer french riders of all ages to meet with the Icelandic horse and discover its amazing characteristics.[\/mk_blockquote][vc_column_text]At the project\u2019s source lies a combination of philosophy and passion for the Icelandic horse as well as the spirit of the non-profit organization founded by \u00d3lafur and Ingibj\u00f6rg, Aurora Foundation, of which the mission is to promote the Icelandic arts and culture both nationally and internationally. The project is also the result of \u00d3lafur&#8217;s and Ingibj\u00f6rg\u2019s dream, as well as their friends&#8217;; trainers and breeders Einar \u00d6der Magn\u00fasson and Svanhv\u00edt Kristj\u00e1nsd\u00f3ttir. Three \u201cvoltige riders\u201d went to Iceland and discovered the breed in its natural environment.<\/li>\n<li>Pur Cheval participated to the Salon du Cheval in Paris, allowing visitors to try the t\u00f6lt, have their photo taken with an Icelandic horse, and learn more about the breed and its particularities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pur Cheval, with the help of fellow Icelandic Horse riders and enthusiasts, participated to the entertainment shows at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mondialdulion.com\/en\/home-page\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>&#8220;Mondial du Lion&#8221;<\/strong><\/a>, a yearly international eventing competition organised in Angers, in the west of France. Some of the French riders and amongst them Thomas Carlile, tried the t\u00f6lt by participating to a \u201cbeer t\u00f6lt competition\u201d. This was a great success.<\/li>\n<li>At the salon du Cheval in 2014, the Icelandic Horse was chosen to be the breed of the year.
