Training & breaking-in
T he Pur Cheval team offers gait training programs adapted to you and horse’s needs.
Our experience of many decades in training Icelandic horses, allows us to help you improve your horse’s suppleness, movements and gaits.
Pur Cheval also offers to break-in your horse and to guide it on the path of understanding the gaits and its rider’s aids.
All training is thought of and carried out to satisfy your needs.
During our first meeting, you will tell us what your expectations and goals are while we observe your horse together.
From there, we will decide together of the program best adapted to your horse and your needs and make an estimate of the time this work will take.

All our training services include hay and salt and full boarding in an individual field at night and in a box stall or gravel paddock during the day.
A free private lesson on your horse is included at the end of the training period (except breaking-in & after a minimum of 1 month).
A 50% discount is applied on all lessons taken on your horse during its training period.
Veterinary care, shoeing nutritional supplements and extra balneotherapy/vibrating floor sessions are not included in our programs.
Terms and conditions of sale
All horses must be up-to-date in their vaccinations, have been dewormed and free of any disease in the six weeks prior to their arrival at the Huilerie.
IMPORTANT: Horses coming for training must be shod all-round.
Selling your horse
O n top of training or breaking your horse in, Pur Cheval offers to help you sell it. Our long experience of selling horses all over Europe has allowed us to form a network of people who might be interested in your horse.
The Huilerie’s facilities make it easy for potential clients to come and try horses in a safe and professional environment with all the appropriate tack and material they need.

Before putting your horse for sale, a member of our team must try your the horse at least once and approve of the selling price set by the owner.

The horse will stay at the Huilerie until it is sold or for a time set by the owner. It will be ridden up to three times per week to maintain its training level.

10% of the selling price will go to Pur Cheval

If the horse is not sold in the two weeks following its arrival, a monthly fee of 260€ will be billed to the owner. This price includes boarding, presentation of the horse to clients and an advertisement on Facebook and other websites.
