It’s been too long

It has been too long since the last time we told you about what is going on at Pur Cheval. Those of you following us on facebook might be better informed than the other but we doubt everything has been said there.

The biggest news is that Charlotta and Thaïna have both been chosen to represent France at the World Championships which will take place between the 3rd and the 9th of august in Herning, Denmark. Jennifer and Berglind will be going with them as grooms. We will then have two Team Pur Cheval riders in the french team!

Jacques Pailloncy and his mare, Surtsey frá Langholti will also be representing France. Surtsey is a daughter of Þeyr frá Akranesi, one of the stallions we partly own in Iceland.

We are incredibly proud and happy about all this and wish good luck to the french team for these world championships that promise to be an amazing experience!

 

The last competition Charlotta, Berglind and Jennifer participated in together in germany wend well for Berglind and Brá (5.93 in T3 and 5.87 in V2) and for Jennifer who finished second in fivegait with Eyður (5.59). Hylur was not in great shape after the trip and therefore did not perform as well as usual. However, he has now had time to rest a gotten a vitamin cure and will be better than ever in Herning!

We have finally received and installed our vibrating floored dryer from Aqua Icelander. It completes our spa for horses where we already had the Aqua Icelander water treadmill that Bjarni and his team serviced and optimised in the way since a few problems had prevented us from using it for a few months. It is absolutely great to be able to use these incredible machine when the weather and heat do not allow us to ride our horses all day long. They are very happy themselves to cool their legs down in the water and all enjoy the dryer very much.

Other great news is that our mare Fjöður frá Bjarnarnesi is pregnantwith our stallion Eyður frá Halakoti’s foal after the first try! We cannot wait to see the result of this match!

And to finish, we have sold Brún frá Miðhrauni in may and Straumur frá Miðhrauni last week. We are very happy for the new owners and wish them great happiness with these amazing horses to whom it was so hard to say goodbye!
