Belgian championships – Second competition of the year

We have had a blast together at the Belgian championships this weekend!

Nice place, lovely people and good results for the Pur Cheval team.

Charlotta and Hylur were participating in T1 (tölt) and V2 (fourgait).

In T1, the preliminaries went very well with a grade of 6.63.

Charlotta is very happy and Hylur looked great.

In the finals they ended in 4th place with 6.67.

In the V2 (fourgait) Hylur was a bit hot in the trot, walk and canter which led to a grade of 5.83. It is starting to become clear that fivegait will be a better test for Charlotta dn Hylur when he is a bit stronger. The couple still ended in 2nd place and Charlotta is super happy with the results.

Berglind and Brà had an amazing recovery from their last competition and won the T3 (tölt) with 5.73 in the preliminary round and 6.0 in the finals.

They then also won the V2 (fourgait) with 6.20 in the preliminary round and 6.37 in the finals!

Brà is truly an extraordinary mare and attracts a lot of attention from the spectators.

Berglind was overwhelmed with happiness after her fourgait and will now continue to train her program with even more preciseness and push Brá further.

Our young rider Jennifer and her favorite Kjarkur had a very nice ride in the T3 (tölt) leading the preliminary round with 5.73.

In the final it was very nice to see them together but the speed changes performance was a bit too soft and so they ended in 3rd place with 5.78.

Fourgait (V2) is not the easiest test for our fivegaited Kjarkur but still Jennifer and him did a very good job and ended in 7th place with the grade of 5.58.

The championships did not have separate tests for young riders and adults and we were proud to see that Jennifer was the young rider with the highest scores in the tests she participated in.
