Team Pur Cheval 2015

We realised a little while ago that we had never introduced the whole team to our readers. Let us now remedy to that.

You all certainly already know our stable manager Charlotta Gripenstam and our riders Berglind Tryggvason Þorvaldsdóttir and Jennifer Evelönn so we will not linger on them today.

Another rider of the Pur Cheval team is Thaïna Lempérière who rides our mare Hrísey frá Langholtsparti. The couple was formed this winter with the goal of competing and reaching the world championships in Herning, Denmark this summer.

Svanhvít Kristjánsdóttir, as you probably had noticed before, is our main trainer and coach. Svana (as she is more commonly called) is and FT (félag tamningamanna) trainer and a high level rider in Iceland who has for example ridden at Landsmót. She is also very involved in the training of our horses in Iceland. Svana is the owner of the breeding farm Halakot (Halakoti) situated a little outside Selfoss, on the south coast of Iceland.

We also have recruited a young Swedish girl: Stina Johansson. She will stay with us until November. Her main task will be to take care of the horses and also to be responsible for the stable when Charlotta, Berglind and Jennifer are away or competing.

Team Pur Cheval’s main goal is to promote the Icelandic horse and to show you its versality. This year we are focusing on the competition abilities of the breed so keep your eyes open for informations about our great horse in magazines and on the web!
